This extension adds a context menu item for selected text that provides more information (from the Unicode database) about the characters selected.

This version adds support for Thunderbird (identifying characters in the contents of email messages), although I couldn't get the context menu item placement the way I wanted. It also adds an icon.
This initial version shows the character, the Unicode codepoint, and the character description. Descriptions are available for characters whose names are in the Unicode database, for Hangul syllables, and for CJK characters, although the descriptions of CJK characters are an unconfigurable combination of a few pieces of data.
