There are not many archives of satellite images available on the Internet. Most of the available archives are of polar imagery. This list is a list of all sites listed on these pages that have archives that are longer than one week. If you are looking for images of specific events, you may also be interested in satellite image galleries.

Archives longer than one month

SATMOS Archives
The Archives from SATMOS cover all the major geostationary satellites going back a number of years, plus NOAA polar orbiter images over Europe. There are also similar archives of derived products. (These images are not yet listed elsewhere on the site.)
SSEC Global Composite Images
archives of small global composite images that run back about 8 months
NOAA Satellite Active Archive
archives of polar orbiting satellite images going back to 1994
DMSP Polar Images
archives of polar orbiting satellite images going back to 1992
University of Colorado
archives of GOES (Atlantic, Americas, Eastern and Central Pacific) images from the beginning of the year
Kochi University
an impressive archive of GMS images, some of which go back to 1996. Also includes SSEC quicklooks. Many of the images are in PGM format.
